Christopher S. Bang, DO, Musculoskeletal and Body Cross-Sectional Imaging Specialist

Dr. Bang is a valued member of our musculoskeletal imaging team, specializing in the use of regular X-ray images, ultrasound, CT and MRI to diagnose problems of the bones, joints, and supporting muscles, ligaments, and tendons. He is a member of:

  • The Radiological Society of North America
  • The American Osteopathic Association

Dr. Bang, a native of Cortland, New York, graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, in 2000, with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He completed his internship at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Dr. Bang had his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, followed by an academic fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Bang was the coauthor of several medical journal articles in the subspecialty fields of Body and Muskuloskeletal Imaging. He has also presented papers at national imaging conferences.

From 2006 onward he has practiced in the Albany area, and been associated with St. Peter's Hospital. He lives with his family in Delmar, a suburb south of Albany, and in his spare time enjoys golf, lacrosse, ice hockey and cooking.
