Stephen A. Hughes, M.D., Body Cross-Sectional and Musculoskeletal Imaging Specialist

Dr. Hughes is a native of Olean, New York. Following his undergraduate years at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hamphire, Steve attended medical school at the State University of New York in Buffalo.

Following an internship in Internal Medicine, Dr. Hughes completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. During his training, Dr. Hughes was named Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology. He completed a full year fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Hughes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.

Prior to coming to St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, New York, Dr. Hughes served on the academic staff of Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, and Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Hughes is a founding Member of Albany Advanced Imaging and serves on our interpretive staff.

Dr. Hughes lives with his family in Slingerlands, New York. He enjoys sailing and skiing.
